The sun warms gently
From skin to the soul itself -
That toasty feeling.
In this part of the world, a warm sun is precious. And at this time of year, its days are numbered. Soon it will be the season of cold winds, and biting rain, and long nights.
So it is a celebration to lie on the grass on a Saturday afternoon. To spend time in this way is to be mindful of the things that slip away from us, and what we must endure.
