Seeking Natural Frames

This morning, I went out looking for natural frames.

As a person who started drawing art as a means to draw comics, I am always conscious of the various ‘frames’ and ‘panels’ through which we see things.

Sometimes it is a pair of trees arching over an urban scene. Sometimes the scene is between two tall buildings. I like to think of the space in between as my subject.

I spent a good deal of time looking for good spots and views. Walked up and down the downtown Eau Claire area in search of something special.
